Thank you for your interest in RISE.

We hope this film inspires you to act – global mental health remains a neglected, invisible epidemic and those who are working on the front-lines of it need your support.

Our goal – once we get RISE out to a wide audience- is to use the film not only to bring global mental health “out of the shadows,” but also to raise funds for mental health clinicians in Liberia. Several of them dream of attending graduate programs in the U.S. One of them is hoping to build a small mental health clinic. The possibilities are endless, so please stay tuned …and if you have ideas for partnerships please contact me!

You can also help us get the word out by hosting a fundraising/outreach screening in your home, school or business. Our goal is to spread the word about the importance of global mental health care. Additional opportunities for greater involvement include ‘brown bag’ lunches to discuss outreach and partnership opportunities, linking our site to yours—we’re open to suggestions!

Thanks to overwhelming support from friends, family and a successful crowdfunding campaign with IndieGoGo we’ve been able to complete the film! Seven years, many long trips to Liberia later…we are grateful beyond words.

However, we’re now seeking POST PRODUCTION funds to secure the rights to original music, Getty photographs and footage from Liberia’s war. Our film is supported by Women Make Movies, a registered 501 (c)(3) organization that accepts and administers contributions made to our film. This means all donations to RISE are tax-deductible and just a click away.

If a donation isn’t possible, please consider spreading the word among friends and family through your social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter or email. Every bit of buzz helps! Here are our handles & hashtags…
